The National Professional Qualifications
NPQs can have a measurable impact on schools and pupils. Our participants benefit from tried and tested 'blended' programmes of professional learning through high quality face to face days alongside 'online' learning. Our programmes are very relevant to today's educational climate - highlighting 'evidenced based practice' particularly with regard to Curriculum and Teaching & Learning.
All NPQ participants lead a School Improvement Project designed to have a real and lasting impact on pupils, schools and colleagues.
Who we are...
L4NE is Leadership for the North East. Our vision for our teachers and schools is that the North East has the potential leadership capacity to transform and improve education across the region.
St Bede’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College, Lanchester is the lead school at the heart of this partnership. Four other North East Teaching Schools work directly in collaboration through L4NE, St Anthony’s Sunderland, Sunningdale School, Sunderland (Special School), the Peterlee Partnership and St Mary's Catholic School, Newcastle. Our partnerships provide significant geographical reach within the North East region and beyond. Indeed, we have now extended our NPQ provision into Cumbria – working with a number of primary schools in Carlisle and Allerdale. In 2019/20 we are delivering Leadership Programmes to over 100 participants across the North East and Cumbria.
Our exciting NPQ programmes are designed very much to reflect the current educational landscape. We promote evidence / research-based approaches to school improvement. We provide a ‘blended learning experience’ across all our leadership programmes. This includes ‘face to face’ days, online learning and a 360 diagnostic - combining leadership theory and practice along with ongoing support towards final assessment. For more details of our delivery model for each separate qualification please click on the info graphics link below.
